Unlike conceptional art the result of a photograph already exists in reality.
So to capture a single instant whether contrived or not can at best be a record.
Some look without seeing whilst others simply find immeasurably enjoyable images amongst the normal journey of the day.
How and what to record is an individual decision and best judged by others.

John Griffiths

As a younger John Griffiths I studied basic Photography to City and Guilds level at night school between 1977 and 1980 and in later years gained tremendous experience working with Essex Colour Limited as a salesman.  This work enabled me to meet and work alongside a few of the very best artistic photographers in the UK and in some instances the world.  As the name of the site suggests my interest is ‘not the usual’ and to this end I offer my photographic services to anyone seeking just that.  If you need a photographer, to travel to an event covering or recording it in a way that suits you, contact me for a chat.
